About The Tangled Goat
The Tangled Goat is a creative crochet studio for people who love handmade things that feel warm, meaningful, and full of heart. It is a space rooted in color, care, creativity, and the kind of making that happens slowly, thoughtfully, and with real human hands.
This site is growing into a home for crochet patterns, writing, handmade pieces, learning, and creative connection. My hope is that it feels welcoming, honest, and full of warmth, and that it becomes a place where creativity and care really matter.
My Story
I learned how to crochet when I was eight years old, sitting in a church classroom in second grade. I thought I was going to be learning how to knit like my grandmother and aunt, and for a moment I was disappointed when I found out it was crochet instead.
That feeling disappeared almost immediately. Once I learned how to hold the hook and yarn, something clicked. I didn’t want to stop. I loved the feeling of making things, of watching yarn turn into something real. Suddenly I wasn’t limited to little craft projects anymore. With a hook and yarn, it felt like I could make anything.
I’ve carried that feeling into adulthood. I still love the color, the texture, the rhythm of the stitches, and the quiet mindfulness of creating something slowly, one loop at a time.
Why The Tangled Goat Exists
The Tangled Goat exists because I believe in creativity, comfort, color, and things made slowly with care. Crochet feels grounding in a world that moves too fast. It feels like intention. It feels like warmth. It feels human.
I love that something handmade can bring joy, comfort, expression, or beauty into someone’s life.
The Vision
I want The Tangled Goat to become a creative home for patterns, writing, handmade pieces, learning, and connection. My hope is that it feels meaningful, welcoming, and full of heart, and that it celebrates creativity, care, and beauty in everyday life.
Hi, I'm Sarah
I’m the hands, heart, and probably slightly chaotic yarn stash behind The Tangled Goat. I care deeply about creativity, warmth, connection, and making things that carry story and meaning. I’m really glad you’re here, and I hope this space feels welcoming, creative, and comforting to you too.
